Ioannis Apostolou

 

He was born in Greece in 1981. He started playing the violin in the age of 8 years and after graduating from the Conservatory of Thessaloniki he moved to Italy to attend the International Violin Making School in Cremona.

 

Since 2006, Ioannis has been making fine violins for professional musicians. His instruments are meticulously crafted using the finest materials. The continuous  study of antique varnishes and research into sound brings a unique quality to his instruments. Ioannis repetoire of instruments includes the production of superior replicas of Italian masterpieces  of the 17th and 18th century.

Over the last 4 years he has lived in Brescia – Italy, and works in the Filippo Fasser Workshop.
