Bruno Costardi

 

 

Bruno Costardi was born in Palosco (Bergamo) on January 4th 1955.
He studied at International School of Violin-makers in Cremona with P. Pistoni, V. Zambelli, A. Bulfari, G. Scolari e S. Conia, gaining his diploma in 1981.
He began working immediately in Cremona; a period enriched with technical exchanges between colleagues and ex-classmates. This period could be considered a continuation of his scholastic career, and the completion of his formation.
Work in this period was dedicated principally to the Japanese market.
In 1986 he opened his own workshop in Bergamo. His style became more independent and was more influenced by a return to antique instruments.
